Naomi is a Program Manager for PoSI and works primarily on the EcoDistricts Initiative. She brings an interdisciplinary background in architecture, environmental science, and urban studies.
Most recently she worked as a sustainability consultant with Konstrukt, providing services to clients like the City of Beaverton, BetterBricks, Richard Brown Architects, and the Portland Sustainability Institute. Prior to that, as Sustainability Coordinator at ZGF Architects, she helped project teams to view design as an opportunity for positive environmental impact and to integrate principles of sustainability into buildings and master plans. In that role she developed tools, resources, trainings; managed numerous LEED documentation efforts; and worked on national and international design projects.
Outside the office Naomi chairs the City Club of Portland’s New Leaders Council and recently joined the AIA Urban Design Panel. She has also been active in the AIA Committee on the Environment and Cascadia Region Green Building Council. She makes and sells jewelry locally and is endeavoring a dessert-on-commission business in her spare time.
As a native Portlander, she started working in local architecture firms at age 14. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she returned to her hometown, determined to invest her life and career in the place that so many look to for sustainability leadership and that was so formative to her own development. |
