Eileen Brady is co-founder of New Seasons Market, a landmark neighborhood grocery chain in Portland, Oregon. She served as the Vice Chair of the Oregon Health Fund Board, helping to bring access to health care to the children of Oregon and currently sits on the Oregon Health Policy Board. She is co-owner and Chair for Celilo Group Media, publisher of the green coupon guide called Chinook Book.
She served as Vice President of Ecotrust, founding the Food and Farms program and has been recognized for her work developing a plan for sustainable food and farming system in California. Eileen has served as the Chair of Zenger Farm, an urban agriculture park for school children and as a member of the Metro Blue Ribbon Bike Trails Commission. Eileen served on the launch team for Oregon Solutions, Governor Kitzhaber’s state-wide effort at building citizen based solutions.
She currently sits on the Oregon Business Association Board and is an advisor to VOIS, Oregon’s sustainable, small business coalition. She is also on the Board of POSI, the Portland Oregon Sustainability Institute. She speaks regularly on sustainability, building regional food systems and transforming healthcare. She lives in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood of Portland. She and her husband, Brian Rohter, have four grown children and a dog named Cooper. |
